As I am fastly approaching the big 60,
I really don't think I can abide a fake
 "Christmas Tree" this year.
So Randall and I went tree shopping.
We thought we might get a potted evergreen,
to transplant later. One that wouldn't dry out.

As we pulled in the parking lot,
I saw the most beautiful little fat douglas fir.
I jumped out of the pickup, and almost
hugged this most perfect of potted trees.
I will plant you sweet tree in the best of soil.
Then I looked at the price tag.
$89.00

I could buy 2 weeks of groceries for that!
Now I remember why we have a fabulous fake.

I"m home now.
I still have sticker shock!
"Randy, please bring up the Christmas tree."
"I will find the Douglas Fir, candle!"
