LOVE
At First Sight
&
Love
At Last Sight
By, Cheryl Harwell Bailey

My sweet tough daddy has often told me about the first time he saw my mother.
At a Methodist youth camp,
when she was only 14 years old!
He said it was love at first sight!

It was!
Everyone knows it!

62 years ago today, they were married.
Love at first sight is real,
but love at last sight is real too.
 Even more so!

Happy Anniversary

"Movie Mama"
By, Cheryl Harwell Bailey

Are good motion pictures gone for good?
It seems to grow worse every passing year!

Why can't anyone make a great movie,
or at the very least, a good one?
I am not a picky movie critic.
But really?
What happened to the movies of sheer perfection? You know the ones!
The
"you know it when you see it,"
kind of movie.

Braveheart....Last of the Mohicans....
Sleepless in Seattle.

Today, great movies are very rare.
It is sad really.
Even during WWII, artist of old produced some of the best motion pictures of all time.
They gave people faith and hope.
And now? Scrips, stories, screen plays,
are not worth watching for the most part.

I adore movies!
I am a 5th generation "movie mama."
My mother is named for a
 flapper era movie star.
 So, I can't help it.

Lately I have been on the hunt for movies worthy of my time. Old or new,
 I don't care.  Like a blood hound,
I hunt them down. Yes, they are out there.

A classic is such because it deserves to be.
And everybody loves a classic!
