It is amazing, 

that Americans would purposely

choose to have a Queen, but we did!
Her name was Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.
She was a very private person,
 who did not like the spotlight.
 Her fame has not diminished with time.

    

I really don't think we can help it!

Would she have been the Queen of America, had her husband survived? 
Yes, I think she would!

It is the greatest of honors, to be a first lady,

but she was more.

We will never see the likes of Jackie again.

 She was, and always will be, our Queen.

As a 7 year old girl in 1960,
I remember the first time I saw her on T.V.
I was impressed and fascinated.
I hoped to hear her voice, but it would be several months before I actually did.
Finally during a T.V. interview,
 I was delighted to hear, her voice was absolutely beautiful. She was perfection.

 I admired her because…

She was a faithful wife,
 who loved and honored her husband
 with all her heart.

She was a great "hands on," mother.

She cherished and loved her children.

She didn't pretend to be a lady.

She was a LADY!

She had impeccable taste in every way.

"Classy," 
is who and what she was.

She did not try to be elegant,
She was elegant.

She loved animals, 

especially dogs and horses.

She enjoyed all aspects of homemaking.

She was highly educated,
 fluent in several languages.
She loved the classical arts, antiques, and historical buildings.

We were all so proud of our first lady.

Her husband was assassinated,
 50 years ago today.
