 Christmas
2015

Look what Randall did?
I am so excited to see tiny, sparkly,
Christmas lights on the turret this year!
10 years ago, Mr. Darcy built me a little castle,
but this year he lit it up!

Welcome home!

I am singing my mama's Christmas song.

"Buck, they can see us."
"Okay my Deer, down to the valley we go."
(I rescued this lovely couple from the goodwill store this week.)

When I was a little girl,
I learned the meaning of value from my mama. Her Welsh heritage was one of thrift.
I thought everybody used nature's bounty to deck the halls with boughs
of holly, pinecones, and evergreens.

She taught me to
punch whole cloves into oranges.
My nose is always amazed by
the magnificent Christmas scent.

My youngest grandson
is dancing up a storm, in wooden shoes.
Lovin' our Christmas music and movies.

We haven't had a fire burning.
It is going to be in the 70's all week.
So what's up with all this warm weather?
I miss the crisp,
 cold,
 clear,
 cozy,
 Christmas
 time of year!

All the doors are open!

No need for
warm woolen mittens.
She will however, need some sandals.

He is keeping me posted on the
"CHRISTMAS,"
countdown!

"You Two,
scared me to death!"

 My dollar dishes.
Really! I bought them many years ago at the local "Dollar Tree," in California.
I liked the tartan ribbon
trim on the rims.
I take them out, the day after Thanksgiving,
putting them away in January.

I miss our eldest grandchild,
who is on a missionary journey far away.
I cooked his favorite dish before his trip.
Sniff! He is all grown up.
Please pray for him and his team.

My mama's treasured nativity.
We worked on it together.

The one and only sacred "nest" made of hay.
The entire planet seems to soften and love a little more every "Christmas!"
 Baby Jesus IS the reason!

Blessed family circle, given to us by our Heavenly Father.
Around the table.
Around the Christmas tree.

Notice how all "Christmas" trees point to
"Heaven?"

 Tonight we are
wrapping, wrapping, wrapping,
cooking,
baking,
cleaning,
and loving every minute of it!

The 3 wise women I come from!
My mama, and my grandma's.
I was 12 in this Christmas photo,
standing in front of my grandmother's home.
There are no words in any language
to express how I love them.

Finally,
time for a long winter's nap.

Merry Christmas from our home to yours.
God Bless us,
Everyone!
