Remembering our family and friends who serve,
or have served our nation is noble.
Reverence for the past is crucial to our future.

On this Veterans Day
I would be amiss to not mention,
the only woman in our family to serve.
 Our Aunt Juanita.

She was laid to rest last week in Billings, Montana, beside her husband, Marine Verner Carlson. She declined the Army's request to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

The gratitude, and humility,
is overwhelming to the depth of my soul.
I have been blessed to know warriors.
Each one a hero.
Each one.

Military photos for all family and friends
 are difficult to locate.
It would be great,
if you have a photo to include.
