Wild Flowers or Weeds?
That is the Question!

All of the Wild Flowers on this latest post,
grow wild here in Tennessee, with one exception.
I didn't pay one penny for them.
We didn't have a clue this land
was covered with such beauty when we purchased it.
I am blessed we built our home upon this spot.
I was so surprised our first Spring
to see all the flowers, I didn't plant, pop up!
All I had to do is
show a bit of patience, and not pull them up.
Now I am glad I did.
They come back every year, and take zero effort.
As Jesus said, "Consider the lilies of the field;
They do not labour, nor do they spin!
Wild flowers have flourished on this land
for hundreds of years.
I must confess I share flower catalogs, and feel a little guilty.
I do love "Lowes," in early spring, and feel pure excitement!
I abolutely love wild flowers the most!
All of my childhood, growing up in California I was excited to see the gorgeous wild flowers
cover the hills every Spring.
Wild Flowers go wherever they want to!
They are astonishingly stubborn.
Faithfully coming back, right on time, year after year.
Especially the world famous Golden State Poppies, in a range of the brightest colors of orange, yellow, and red.
They were here long before there was a "California."
My parents would drive us kids out to see the world famous wild "California Poppies" up close.
Through earthquakes and who knows what,
the wild Poppies have survived.
Tennessee has a beautiful bounty of Wild Flowers as well.
I do miss the Wild Poppies. I am blessed to have had the privilege of seeing the beauty of God's Good Earth. Of hearing the Cicadas, and watching the lightning bugs.
Wild life at it's best!
Our Turkey's are wild, but I still name them.
These chicks are Liz and Phil!
So come with me, to see some of the wild flowers at
"Castle Petite!"
"Wild Rambling Roses" grow up and on our deck.
But of courses they are perfectly PINK!
"Wild Daisies"
Wild Daisies are so beautiful. Simple, Pure!
When I was 14, I painted daisies on my bedroom floor.
It was the "sixties." I am an American girl! Just sayin!'
"Wild Trumpet Vines"
Humming Birds and Bees love the sweet syrupy nectar
from the Wild Red Trumpet vines!
"Wild Clover"
Our hens own the soft carpet of green clover.
Our "Clover Lawn" is so soft and comes back every year.
"Wild Queen Ann's Lace"
My hen "Daisy!"
"Wild Buttercups"
"Wild Clover, Buttercups, and Dandelions"
I hope that you all enjoy sunshine
as much as I do.
"Wild Daisies!" Did I mention how much I adore daisies?

Notice Mr. Wesley Leach's Boutonniere.'
We have wild flowers everywhere.
Some call them weeds, but are they?
Queen Anne's Lace a weed? I think not!
How about Daisy's, Violets, Tiny Climbing Roses, Trumpet Vines, Buttercups, Blackberries,
Angelica, Honeysuckle, Elderflower, Purslane, Clover, Purple Scottish Thistle, Strawberries, Chicory, Plantain, Dandelions, Blooming Poplar, Black-eyed Susan, and Dogwood Trees?
All established on this land, and cost nothing.

"Wild Honeysuckle"
Wow, I sure hope "Wild Honeysuckle," is calorie free!
It taste good! It smells good. On a warm day, the scent is amazing! Hummingbirds and Bees love it here!
"Black Eyed Susan"
Prehistoric herbs,
Flowers, and trees.
Cherokee Native Americans, early European settlers, Revolutionary, and Civil War Armies.
I am literally enjoying the fruit of their labors.
"Wild Star Gazer"
We were most likely the first to build,
on this land.
Whatever the case flowers have been here long before we came.
We have planted flowers and bulbs as well.
"Wild Plantain, Clover, Daisies, and Trumpet Vines"
I certainly would not call these lovely plants "weeds!"
They are simply, and always will be "wild flowers," to me!
"Wild Purselaine"
"Wild Babies-Breath"
"Wild Black-eyed Susan"
"Wild Daises"
"Wild Dogwood Trees"
"Wild Lady Slipper"
"Wild Violets"
"Wild Blackberry Blossoms"
So just think about it, before you pull.
In a busy world save some time.
In an expensive world save some money.
Wild flowers get stronger and prettier every year.
of sunshine and gentle rain showers!
Thank you for coming.
"Ya'll Come Back"
"Ya hear!"
