"Real Housewives of Belle'derly Hills"
"Belle Means Beautiful!"
"Belle Means Beautiful!"
By, Cheryl Harwell Bailey
From the time I can remember,
my parents encouraged me to be myself.
I was taught a sort of disdain for phonies.
With photo shop, plastic surgery for the rich,
and all out war on aging,
genuine beauty is difficult to find.
Did you know?
You are the
LAST
"You,"
on planet earth?
You've got the way your eyes twinkle!
You've got the way your smile sparkles!
You've got the way you walk!
You've got the way you talk!
Be yourself.
Why try to be a human "cookie cutter?"
Cowgirls have visible scars of character.
Natural Elegance! Isn't she gorgeous?
Some
Unhappy in their own skin.
Unhappy with their hair.
Unhappy with their body.
Unhappy with their age.
Why not do that which will bring true fulfillment?
The joy of using your assets to
"Fill"
the little bellies of hungry children?
Lasting.
The joy of using your assets to
"Fill"
facial wrinkles, or a flat behind.
Not!
(Don't hate me.)
I guess you can tell,
I have seen some big time suffering all around lately.
I'm fired up after seeing some go without basic needs.
"I hear you need some food?"
"So sorry I can't stay and chat,
but I'm on my way to get my shot of Botox."
"Don't pass out on me now!"
"Get up! I'm going to be late for my appointment!"
It's your own business how you spend your paycheck,
in a secular career.
Even then, there is something weird about a person
who allows family and friends to suffer hardship,
as they get that shot of Botox.
I know, I know, you want me to
"back off."
I've never had anything done, but I've heard
wrinkle fillers have a "numbing effect!"
Maybe it "numbs," the heart.

They aren't long, the days of "lookin' young."
Gutsy girls are not afraid of growing older!
Nothing will stop the years from rollin' on by.
Roll baby roll!
The greatest generation of gutsy girls thought they were splurging,
when they purchased a "lipstick" at "Woolworth's."
Lipstick
Such an instant "gussied up" joy, costing next to nothing,
and there's no pain involved
physically or financially.
In this rough economy, I have friends who think nothing of spending next year's income on a facelift today.
Like the comic strip character "Wimpy," who tells his friend "Popeye"....
"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."
I think a "hamburger," is a real "need" in this case,
but there's a huge difference between NEED and WANT.
And there's a ginormous difference between a
"hamburger," and a "facelift."
My friends are
"BELLE"
"BEAUTIFUL,"
just the way they are!
