"Happy Father's Day"
By, Cheryl Harwell Bailey

"Father's Day"
is a Federal Holiday, the 3rd Sunday in June.
It is the day to honor our "Dad."
It was started by a daughter,
who's Dad raised 6 children alone, after his wife died.

I really don't think "Dad's" get enough credit.
"He," is also our "Parent." No he didn't give birth,
but he is the first human male we experience, from day one.
I remember how hard it hit me the day I gave birth to our daughter "Kendra." I had natural childbirth, I know, crazy.
I was tired and thrilled at the same time. She was perfect! Everything went well, until her third feeding.
She started to cry, I couldn't get her to burp, or to stop crying.
After a few minutes, nothing I did helped.

Her Daddy came and took her out of my arms,
with his big strong man hands,
and she instantly stopped crying.
She looked up at him as if to say,
"Hey, who are you big guy?"
He's been wrapped around her little finger ever since.
He had a different touch. He had a strong touch.
A touch she could trust to do her only "good"
for the rest of her life.

"Kendra & her Daddy"

With Jessica the same thing!!! I am still jealous!
 They like him better!

Daddy let them have crackers, Pepsi,
 and anything they wanted!
 Except boyfriends!

Jessica and her Daddy!
