Homemade Ice Cream

Okay! Okay Okay!!!
I Give Up!
Here It Is!

Cheryl Harwell Bailey's
Secret "In the vault," Recipe
"Homemade Ice Cream"

No Cooking required

Ice Cream Ingredients

1 quart Half & Half
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/8 teaspoon Salt
Mix above ingredients well,
then churn in tub.
Makes approximately 2 quarts.

For Freezer Tub

 Ice
Rock Salt

Order of Process

Place Beater in Cylinder
Pour mixture into Cylinder
Place Lid on Cylinder
Place Cylinder in Tub
Fasten Latch Down

Pack Ice & Salt in Freezer Tub
Fill to top
Churn

In packing Ice & Salt,
put about 3 inches in tub around cylinder.
Sprinkle 4 oz. of Rock Salt evenly over Ice.
Continue adding Ice & Salt, in the same proportions,
layer by layer, until Tub is filled to the top.
Start Cranking
As Ice & Salt melt, replenish.
Keep Cranking

It is worth it!
Please take note....
This recipe is not for electric maker's!
It will have a great flavor, but I can't guarantee the texture.
If you prefer it a bit thicker,
place in the freezer about 15 minutes.
If you use an electric maker,
put the ice cream in freezer for an hour or more.
It's best to use "a hand cranked ice cream freezer."

Cooper can crack a while!

  1. Recipe sounds great and easier than some of the recipes I've tried. I think I will add some fruit or other flavoring to it. I love seeing the pics of Pastor.

    1. Thank you sweet girl! It is easy, except the cranking. You can add anything to it. Loving & Missing You!
